Post-operative support

Physical therapy support after liposuction.

After liposuction, care must take account of the operated areas, tissue changes and the surgeon’s instructions. Dorra offers an assessment to clarify mobility needs and options for post-operative follow-up.

When should you seek medical advice?

Sudden breathing difficulty, chest pain or loss of consciousness require urgent medical help: contact local emergency services without waiting for a reply from the clinic.

Fever, spreading redness or warmth, unusual discharge, significant new pain or rapidly increasing swelling require prompt medical advice, particularly from your surgical team. A drainage session does not replace this assessment.

Reviewing your recovery

The discussion covers your comfort, activities you find difficult and the recommendations you have received. Swelling or tissue changes should not be interpreted remotely as simply a need for massage.

Setting follow-up priorities

Depending on your situation, care may address mobility and manual or lymphatic techniques when indicated. Goals are set following assessment and reviewed during follow-up.

Clear limits

Follow-up does not guarantee a particular body contour or the absence of fibrosis. A painful or hardened area requires an appropriate assessment before choosing a technique.

Questions about follow-up after liposuction

How many sessions should I plan?

The number of sessions depends on the initial assessment and tissue changes. There is no universal clinical package.

Should a hard area be massaged?

Do not judge by appearance alone. An assessment at the clinic is needed before considering any technique.
